Zoeller Company’s Charitable Attitude
GIVING – It means different things to different people. Here is some of what it means at Zoeller.
When you think about the Zoeller Family and ways that they have given in the community, all of you reading this have untold numbers of stories. When you think about how the Zoeller Company and all its team members have given I wanted to share some,
Habitat for Humanity, for over 10 years we have had a team except for one year. (a fluke and won’t happen again)
Shively Area Ministries (Food Bank in Shively) from volunteers to donations we are involved with a local partner and so many more. Here are a few from across the company:
Down Syndrome of Louisville
St. Joseph’s Children’s Home
Habitat for Humanity
Catholic Initiatives in Louisville
Christian Education in Louisville
Right to Life of Kentucky
A Woman’s Choice and Necole’s Place
Churches and schools around Zoeller Company
United Way of Northern Indiana
YMCA in all of our communities
Shelters in all of the local communities
Orphanage in Taipei
Down Syndrome of Taiwan
Clothing drives in the winter
Food drives when and where needed
There are literally hundreds of times when the great employees of Zoeller company and all of its local facilities make a difference where they are located. There is no way to list all of the onetime gifts or in-kind donations. The times when someone was in need and asked and were helped. The spirit of giving is one that is strong within the Zoeller Family and that same desire is recognized by our team. In any community where our companies are located, you might see a team with a logo, or a field that has a sign. We know that our people are amazing, and we see every day how they care for each other.
I started an MVP email just mid-year of 2022 and we had over 250 people recognize each other for things they had done. Getting to work with Zoeller and many of the family is a joy. It is something that keeps family business in front of mind and the opportunities it presents. Several years ago an initiative called Pumping for Life was started and made a difference in people’s lives in both Honduras and here. Keeping PFL going has been a struggle. When Anthony asked me to write something, I thought this was a great opportunity to ask for help.
We need help to get Pumping for Life back and going strong. There are multiple ways to help, but the biggest is interest and desire to help. The mission to provide clean drinking water is still one that is needed, how and where we do that could now be different, but we want to make those changes with people that are passionate about changing people’s lives. Please contact me if you are at all interested in Pumping for Life – Clean Water. [email protected]
At all of our facilities we ask them to be involved. We want our people to be part of the solution. So, one way that plays out is in Louisville is that we ask for organizations that are important to our team. When they submit names of local charitable organizations then there are some chosen (so that we can get a range of organizations) and our people vote on which ones to give to. Since we have done that the
re has been more money given every year to those causes, and the Company matches what the employees give through authorization forms.
Many Zoeller family members are involved and through the Forum and other avenues we are trying to keep getting the word out to help others. When the Zoeller family name is mentioned there are literally hundreds of people who know the name, recognize the giving spirit, and have been helped or their family has been helped.
Being part of the giving tradition of Zoeller is an honor and if you have questions, please let me know. Our contributions go through the Community Foundation of Louisville, and they are located at
When we get to talk there are things that we don’t get to talk about, so I wanted to introduce myself to those of you I haven’t met or gotten to talk with.
Dwight Newton – I live in Bardstown. My wife is Michelle and I have three sons. Cole, Clay and Zeke. Cole lives in DC and goes to school; Clay is going to school at USC and Zeke is a junior at Bardstown Highschool. I have coached kids’ sports, am involved in my church, enjoy cold weather and reading books. I graduated from Spalding University with a degree in Psychology and Kentucky State University with a MPA in Human Resources Management. I started with Zoeller in 2005 the Monday after Thanksgiving break. If there is anything else, you want to know then please reach out. The best way is [email protected], or 502-526-1196. As a few of you can attest, sometimes it takes me a couple days to respond, but hopefully that is because I am trying to help take care of the people at Zoeller Company.

I really appreciate that Zoeller has regular blood drives. It is great that Zoeller brings the opportunity to the employees and family.
I love having this update. Thank you for sharing about the need that is there for Pumping for Life. I hope somebody considers getting involved. Speaking from a distance, PFL definitely needs help from those who can be active in various ways.
