Joining the Family Company

In the past two years, I have learned a lot about the culture and what exactly Zoeller Pump Company does. Some of the things that surprised me about working at Zoeller was the ability to ask for help. I have found that because I know many people who work in the company, I am comfortable asking my family members for help on things that I am unsure of.

I have found that many of the employees who work at Zoeller also feel like family. There are people here who have worked for Zoeller for over 20 years that tell plenty of stories about Grandpa Zoeller, that I had never heard. It has been one of the most welcoming and enjoyable experiences getting to meet everyone who has dedicated so much time into this company.

In my role of Product Support, I have learned a great deal about the Zoeller products that we offer, from the M53 to the new Pivot panels. I had no idea everything that Zoeller offered and all of the different types of pumps that we had until starting here. My first 2 months were concentrated solely on learning the products. I think the product that I have picked up the best and feel the most comfortable with is the Pivot Panels. These products are my niche when it comes to troubleshooting and I have become the “go to guy” in the department to troubleshoot panels.

After working here for two years, I can understand the passion that the family has for the company. I can see the passion that many of the employees have for the company. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that I have been given here at Zoeller. I intend on continuing my career here and hopefully I can continue to grow as well.

James Zoeller is in the Product Support II role at Zoeller Pump Company where he has been for two years. He has an Associates in Applied Science from Jefferson Community Technical College and is working on his Bachelors in Accounting at Indiana University Southeast.
